Welcome to Chelsea Kiwanis
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Here, at our Chelsea Club, we seek to preserve that mission, by being a resource, a light and a guide for the kids & families of our diverse community.

Imagine how horrible it is to receive the diagnosis of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and MS (multiple sclerosis)? Then think about the realities of living with these diseases. In many cases, as they progress you are confined to one room for days, months, even years. Now imagine finding a home that enables you to regain your independence and, with it, your dignity.
That home is The Leonard Florence Center for Living in Chelsea, MA - the first and largest residence of its kind in the country that allows people living with ALS and MS to receive skilled nursing care in a nurturing home environment. Thanks to cutting-edge assistive technology, the 30 individuals with these diseases that call LFCL home are able to live their lives independently and with dignity.
Due to COVID the 13th Annual ALS & MS Walk for Living will no longer be held in person on Sunday, October 17th, but that is not stopping us from fundraising.
While we can't gather together, our need to fundraise for those living with ALS & MS at The Leonard Florence Center for Living is still an urgent priority. Every single dollar raised goes directly back to their care. We need your support to ensure that these very deserving individuals can continue to live as independently as possible, now more than ever.
Will you please help us?
Make a donation today or register to take a walk in your neighborhood, a local trail, a treadmill, your backyard—the options are endless!

Kiwanis is about community. Kiwanis is about families & children. Kiwanis is about showing there is no differences in who we are, no matter what we look like, or what challenges we may have.
That is why we partner with great community groups like the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC).
So as you know this Sunday is the Buddy Walk for the MDSC. So why do we walk?
For nearly four decades, the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress has fought to ensure that all individuals in Massachusetts with Down syndrome are valued, included, and given every opportunity to pursue fulfilling lives.
Today, MDSC has 5,000 members, a professional Board of Directors, a dynamic Management Team, and a vision to ensure that every person with Down syndrome has the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Each day they act out & upon their mission:
"To ensure individuals with Down syndrome in Massachusetts are valued, included, and given the opportunities to pursue fulfilling lives by providing information, networking opportunities, and advocacy for people with Down syndrome and their families, educators, health care professionals, and the community-at-large"
Help us, so join us Sunday to walk, or help us raise money. No donation is too small.
Here is our team page if you want to donate, or if you want to come out & walk with us, email us at email@example.com and let us know.
